The CatSkills

We’re getting married in the Catskills — a beautiful stretch of New York that’s full of charming old towns, quiet winding roads, and views that make you want to slow down and take it all in.

Our venue is in Hensonville, which is a tiny hamlet of Windham (affectionately known as the Gem of the Catskills). There’s plenty to do nearby if you’re looking to explore between events.

For food and drinks, grab a comforting meal at
Day June or stop by Paracasa for great coffee, fresh pastries, and specialty provisions.

If you’re in the mood to shop, Gardenheir, Studio Minimale, and Briars and Brambles Books are a few of our local favorites. Tannersville and Hudson have a handful of antique shops if you’re up for more of a drive.

Want to stretch your legs? Take a scenic stroll on Windham Path or head to one of the nearby lakeside trails at CD Lane Park or Colgate Lake. If you’re up for a more ambitious climb, check out Black Dome Mountain for incredible summit views or Kaaterskill Falls for a dramatic waterfall hike.

You’ll also find a public golf course at Windham Country Club and horseback riding at Mountain Brook Farm.

We’ve included a local map from The Henson above to help you get your bearings. And if you need anything while you’re planning your weekend, just text or call.
